The Church of Starbucks

A friend from church sent this to me, and let me say, I think I've seen pretty much everything in this done in real life. Ah, Christian Culture, how you frustrate me!

Well, I have certainly seen that in church before, but I think what we need to remember is that most people involved in that type of church do believe that they are being effective. They love God and are doing what they believe to be the best thing. Anyone who has been involved in church for a long time has probably been involved in a church somewhat similar to that, and those who are doing church differently now, had to go through the process of experiencing that in order to find a better way of doing things...like with most things. And the truth is...those who believe they are doing it right this time around are going to find in the future that they are going to continue to need to change. And it doesnt matter how good you do it, there are always going to be people who think you are a weirdo for being a Christian (especially these days :))

We watched this in church one Sunday... it was hilarious and telling of our Christian culture all at the same time. Hopefully, the Holy Spirit will lift us up above our current position and culture and make us into the church of Christ.
